Marc Masip Montaner – Desconect@ Director

The emergence of information technology has been an important step forward in the development of our society, as it facilitates access to information and communication. However, useful tools such as mobile phones and social networks can become a problem when their use becomes excessive.

Currently, 77% of users with smartphone suffers nomophobia (irrational fear of not being with your totally available cell phone). Spain is the country with the most teenage addiction on the Internet throughout Europe: 21.3% of Spanish adolescents are addicted to the internet, compared to 12.7% of the European average.

It has become a common thing to see people walking the street without raising the head of the screen of your phone or seeing disrupt meals with dozens of warning sounds.

Interpersonal relationships have gone to the background scrolled by screens. Expression of feelings, resolution of conflicts or declarations through a glass that later are not reproduced “face to face”.

It is an honor for us to be able to offer our society an alternative to such an obvious problem. That is why we have created this Psychoeducational program, in order that we all become aware of the risks of improper and excessive use of new technologies. In this way, we can identify inappropriate behaviors and learn strategies to modify them in the search for a more real and better-armed future.

Desconect@ is an educational tool that seeks feedback from parents and schools to create a roadmap where there is a mixture of rigidity and confidence. Only in this way will we be able to take care with the corresponding importance to the interpersonal relationships that human beings need so much.

From the most convincing sense, Desconect@!
