Substances addiction

SUBSTANCES ADDICTION

A fundamental characteristic of substance dependence is the appearance of a series of behavioral, cognitive and physiological symptoms that indicate that the patient continues to consume the toxic substance despite the appearance of significant problems related to it.

Our objective in the treatment of addictive disorders is to identify the function that the consumption of the substance fulfills for the person, and thus be able to work in the internalization of new healthy strategies.

FOR AN EFFECTIVE TREATMENT, WE APPLY A PATIENT INTEGRAL AND GLOBAL VISION

TREATMENT

The success of our work is based on the application of different multidisciplinary techniques in each of the phases of the treatment for addictions and in the individual attention that we give to each patient.

What can my child be consuming?

  • Alcohol
  • “Joints” · Cannabis and Marijuana
  • Cocaine
  • Ecstasy

An addiction is, in a certain sense, a disease and a symptom. When someone develops an addiction, it constitutes, by itself, a pathology with physical and psychological consequences. At the same time it reveals the existence of underlying problems: shortcomings.

It is this lack that the individual would have tried to fill by resorting to a substance or a behavior that, in the long run, have ended up degenerating into a compulsive action that the individual can not control.

Beyond the period of detoxification (essential) we must treat the problem at the root. If we do not solve it, consumption returns sooner or later. In Day Hopsital Desconect@ we deal with psychiatrists experts in drug addiction with more than 40 years of experience (CITA Clinics · Josep María Fàbregas) and psychologists specialized in the subject. Something essential for a good therapeutic result.

In Desconect@, we believe that the quality of treatment must be based on the individualization of the same.

The treatment of drug addiction is extraordinarily complex because it is influenced by the enormous variety of substances and behaviors that can cause addiction.

On the other hand, the need to perform a psychological treatment forces us to face an almost infinite casuistry; adolescents who do not intend to stop using. That is why an intensive treatment of the danger of the situation is so important.

Our objective: consolidated and definitive rehabilitation.
